Blurry Cowl #2
When was the last time I knit the same pattern twice (not counting my vanilla sock pattern)? When Interpretations Volume 7 was released, I fell instantly in love with a pattern from Joji Locatelli, the Blurry Cowl. I bought yarn immediately – for three cowls. The first one was a gift, as is the second one; the third one will be for me. This is such a fun knit so let me tell you more!
The Yarn
When buying yarn for these cowls, I found two perfect colors at Miss Babs, and two complimentary colors at Spun Right Round. This was my first time using Spun Right Round and it was really nice to knit with. Miss Babs is always a treat to use and I was glad to find out that the DK base from Spun Right Round worked very well with the yarn from Miss Babs.
So for this cowl, I used leftovers of the Miss Babs from my first Blurry Cowl and a fresh skein of Spun Right round. Perfect!
The Pattern
Joji’s pattern is well written and fun to knit. When I first knit it, I didn’t realize there were subtle chevron stripes at the top, so that was a surprise. All in all, this pattern requires a bit more concentration than I anticipated but it is still a fun knit.

Knitting with these yarns was such a treat. The speckles and fun pops of color in the Spun Right Round worked amazingly well with the Miss Babs, despite not buying them in person.
This is such a great pattern for gift knitting and both of mine have required less yarn than indicated by Joji. So I highly recommend it!
