Chelsea Yarns

For several years, I’d seen the Chelsea Luxe label on yarns here and there but it wasn’t until Advent, last year, that I really became familiar with Chelsea Yarns.  And I did this by watching Vlogmas!  Christina, the dyer behind this indie dyer, and her husband, Tad, invited us into their New Jersey home this past Advent and it was so much fun watching them bake, dye yarn, and take care of their backyard chickens.

I finally ordered some yarn from Chelsea Yarns and I can’t wait to tell you more about this dyer….

Bases

Christina dyes Chelsea Yarns on a variety of bases, including…

Mohair (Lace – 70% Mohair/30% Silk)

80/10/10 (Fingering – 80% SW Merino/10% Cashmere/10% Nylon)

Cobblestone (Fingering – 90% Merino/10% Nylon)

DK (100% Merino)

Duet – Cobblestone and Mohair twisted together

Chunky (100% SW Merino)

Chelsea Yarns

Availability

Christina dyes a lot of yarn and it shows!  There are always skeins available on the website, as well as accessories, and Tad’s candles!  Yes, Tad is making candles and I can’t wait to order one!

There are also mystery skeins based on the chickens called the Coop Collection.  And Christina offers other boxes and goodies throughout the year.  (And her Advents go on sale on April 1!)

Ease of Shopping

The Chelsea Yarns website is super easy to use and navigate.

Shipping

Shipping within the United States is fairly reasonable – and fast!  You do not have to wait long for your yarn!

Conclusion

Christina is a dyer that I will continue to watch – literally and figuratively!  Her Vlogs are so much fun and seeing what she dyes up is always a surprise!  Be sure to follow her on Instagram and subscribe to her on YouTube
