FibreShare Summer 2019 – Sent
I had so much fun participating in my first FibreShare ever! This program is a great way to make new fiber friends, curate great packages, shop your stash, and receive surprise goodies. I’m so glad I chose to do this in 2019 – in a year of so many “firsts” for me. And today, I’m going to tell you what I sent my partner!
Partners
The partner who I was sending to and the one I was receiving from were both in Oregon. How crazy is that? I felt like I really got to know the ladies with whom I emailed and chatted. And they were lovely!
It’s always fun talking with knitters/crocheters who are as passionate about their craft as you are! I rarely get to talk about my favorite designers – because no one knows who they are in my day-to-day life – so this was a great social outlet for any knitter!
Package Contents
For my partner, who loves pink, teal, and flamingos, I chose the following items to include in her package:
- A May Designs flamingo print journal
- Notions tin
- Andrea Mowry’s So Faded pattern
- Suburban Stitcher’s Sock in Night Gypsy
- Yarn Love Scarlett O’Hara in Antique Teal
- Nashua Handknits Grand Opera in Dusty Pink
- Friendship bracelet
I really meant to send some snacks and/or candy but time got away from me. I’ll definitely have to do better with that next time.
Next Time
The FibreShare leaders give you plenty of time to assemble a package. I was just crazy busy all July and time got away from me. So I wish I’d had a bit more time to follow some creative ideas that came to me later on in the month.
I think I may have to do this again! It was so much fun and I love making new fiber friends! And hopefully by the next time, life will have slowed down a bit!
