Lollipop Yarn
I first heard of Lollipop Yarn on a knitting podcast….but I can’t remember which one. It was around Valentine’s Day because I immediately ordered the colorway featured in this post: Hot Mess.
Lollipop Yarn specializes in self-striping yarn and to browse the website is such a treat for any sock knitter! This delightful yarn is hand dyed in Tennessee.
Bases
The base that made Lollipop Yarn famous for their stripes is Quintessential Gripes – but so many other bases are offered by this wonderful dyer….

Quintessential Gripes (Fingering – 80/20)
Peerless (Fingering – 80/20)

Colorways
The self-striping colorways of Lollipop are incredible. I dare you to not find one that you love. But Lollipop also offers variegated and solid skeins of yarn, including shawl sets that are just lovely!
Availability
When the Lollipop Yarn Shop has an update, yarn sells quickly – especially seasonal colorways like Hot Mess. I suggest you subscribe to the newsletter to learn of updates and new colorways. And watch Instagram for news! Shop updates are frequent so be on the lookout for the next one (hint, hint: there’s one on April 5!)
Ease of Shopping
The website is super easy to use. And Lollipop is gradually showing up in more and more local yarn stores, including mine. So cool!
Shipping Costs
When ordering from the website, shipping is reasonable.
Conclusion
Lollipop is an independent yarn dyer that I will continue to watch. I can’t resist stripes and socks so this dyer is especially appealing to me. I mean, really: look at those stripes! Every knitter should have the joy of knitting with this yarn!
