Oink Pigments
Last year, I was watching a podcast and fell in love with a colorway from a yarn dyer that I had never heard of: Oink Pigments. Of course, I went and ordered that skein (yay – self control!). Oink has a team of four dyers who are based in California and Indiana. And they are so, so talented!
Let me tell you more!
Bases
Oink Pigments is dyed on many bases, including…
Coven (Light Fingering – 65% Silk/35% Linen)
Disco (Fingering – 92% SW Merino/8% Lurex Sparkle)
Jewls (Fingering – 60% SW Merino/30% Bamboo/10% Nylon)
Nimbus (Fingering – 80% SW Merino/10% Cashmere/10% Nylon)
Targhee Sock (Heavy Fingering – 90% SW Merino/10% Nylon)
Mystic (DK – 100% 17-micron SW Merino)
Guild (DK – 65% Silk/35% Linen)

Availability
Everytime that I go to the Oink website, there is yarn for sale. They even have a Yarn of the Month, that is very, very tempting! There are also lots of kits available for many patterns that are popular right now.
Ease of Shopping
The Oink Pigments website is super easy to use and navigate.
Shipping
I believe that the skein I ordered was dyed-to-order and I was amazed at how quickly it arrived!
Conclusion
Oink is a dyer I will continue to watch. The colorways are just stunning – and so unexpected. I can’t wait to see what they dye up next!
