WIPs – December 2019

Good grief, it’s almost 2020!  Can you believe it? I hope you had a wonderful holiday with your friends and family – and that it included plenty of knitting.  My knitting took a break for a few days here and there but I still made some good progress on my WIPs – but no finished objects this month – so far.  I’m still hoping for an FO by the end of 2019. We’ll see!

Here’s a summary of my works in progress….

Vanilla Socks

I finally made some good progress on these socks, knit with Gynx Yarn, during Thanksgiving and right before Christmas.  This is my car project so when I forget to pack the needles for a road trip, I’m always thankful to have this project close at hand.

Lynx Yarn

This yarn is so much fun!  It’s filled with reds, oranges, and greens.  It’s almost Christmas-y!

Lollipop Socks

So I kinda went to town on the leg of these socks….to the point where they may be too tall.  Sigh. I’m 80% sure I’ll have enough yarn for the foot so keep your fingers crossed.

I’m loving this Lollipop yarn – it’s just so happy!  I’m now past the heel and am happily knitting on the foot.  I’ll do the toes in red, just like the cuff.

Find Your Fade

I took my Fade on our long weekend trip to Colorado – for plane and mountain knitting.  I can’t tell you how happy it made me to wake up every morning, before everyone else, make coffee, and sit and knit while watching the sun rise on the mountains.  I got to fulfill a dream with that and I hope it’s not the last time I can do that in my life. Because I’d sure like to make it a normal morning thing. Sigh.

But this shawl is so slow to knit up.  Maybe someday, it’ll get done.

What’s Next

I hope to cast on a project on New Years Day, if I can finish the Lollipop Socks.  But I’m in a bit of a holding pattern to see what my friend wants to knit for our knit-a-long.  That’ll be a tough decision.

What’s on your needles?  Are you going to cast something on for the New Year?
