WIPs – February 2023
I know it’s a short month, but February has flown by, whereas January was excruciatingly slow! It’s been a good month though I don’t feel like I’ve made much progress on my WIPs. I’m concentrating on mainly just a few to make more progress on those….
Twinkling Lights Socks
I’m knitting this pair of vanilla socks using leftover yarn from Plank and Stella in the Twinkling Lights colorway. This yarn is so beautiful that I had to knit another project with it!
Land of Sweets Cowl
Using my 12-day Advent from Lay Family Yarn, I’m knitting Helen Stewart’s Land of Sweets Cowl. This lovely cowl will most likely be a gift at Christmas next year… So, yay, early gift knitting!
Selbu Mittens
I haven’t made any progress on these. But I’m going to focus on these once my cowl is finished!
Long Summer Cardigan
I’ve worked a bit on this project during webinars and other work events that I can just listen to. Joji Locatelli’s pattern is so lovely and I really want to make progress on this.
Battenberg Blanket
So many little crocheted squares…. This is going to take a loooong time to make! And I’m loving every little square!
Lava Lake
I’ve spent quite a bit of time on this project this month. I’m now on my second-to-last color in the increases. Soon I’ll add the last color and begin decreasing on the other side of this shawl!
FOs
I finished my second pair of socks using my Freckled Whimsy Advent skein. I may not show these separately here, as they look identical to the first pair I knit! But these colors are still so perfect together!
What’s Next
More socks! I’m a bit single minded in these right now. I do need to find a project to take on a long vacation in April/May… So I need to find time to focus on that project planning!
