WIPs – November 2019

It’s almost December!  We’re now entering into the busiest time of the year!  Thankfully, I can say that I’m done with my Christmas knitting!  I thought I was done a month ago until I decided on a last-minute gift.  And I got that done very quickly! I still have a lot of WIPs but that’s okay!  I’ve already met my 2019 knitting goal!

Here’s a rundown of what’s on the needles….

Crooked Ewe Cowl

More on this project later because it’s now finished!  Yay! This may be a Christmas gift but look for a post on it in the next month or so.  This was a fun, easy knit!

So Many Cats

Another finished object!  I knit up this colorwork hat in two weeks.  I decided to make it as a last-minute Christmas gift (that needs to be gifted in early December) and am super happy with how it turned out!  And it has a pom! I love hats with poms!

I’ll talk more about this hat next week.

Vanilla Socks

I haven’t made much progress on these socks, which live in my car for random appointments.  But I love how the Gynx Yarn is knitting up – so many beautiful colors to watch come together.  I know this kind of yarn is not for everyone but I love it!

Lollipop Socks

These socks are being knit for a gift.  Thankfully, most of the women in my life wear the same size of shoe – and sock!  But these are perfect for who they’re going to. Lollipop Yarn is a new-to-me self-striping yarn and I’m loving it so far.  I’m a sucker for a speckled stripe and this colorway has one. So cool!

Find Your Fade

My Fade is coming along.  I may take it on our long weekend trip to Colorado in a few weeks; it makes for great airplane knitting!  I’m still loving these colors but I’m getting anxious about finding the last skein. When I bought the set, I thought it would be enough yarn but nope; I’ll need one more skein.  Eek!

What’s Next

I’m going to hopefully start the new year with a shawl KAL with my knitting bestie.  We both bought shawl yarn at the East Texas Fiber Festival which we need to use. And I’ve talked about knitting more shawls….  So hopefully this happens!

But first, I need to finish my Lollipop Socks!
